Beautiful gourmet wild morel mushrooms are a great addition to any cuisine. These Morel mushrooms are packed full of flavor. 1 lb of fresh morels is equivalent to 8lbs dried mushrooms which means these Morel mushrooms can go a long way. Our morels are easily rehydrated to for broths risottos and many other savory dishes. Morels also are a great addition to a port wine or marsala sauce. Even try them rehydrated in a Black Pepper and Cognac sauce to finish your favorite steak dish. Though not impossible it is quite rare for Morchella to be grown commercially which means they are typically only harvested in the springtime when they pop up along forest floors river banks and occasionally disturbed flower beds. They are especially abundant in forested areas that have been recently burned by forest fires. Though they are only found during spring and early summer months they can be dried to preserve flavor and enjoyed year-round. While many mushrooms do not hold their natural consistency when rehydrated dried morel mushrooms that have been stored properly stay relatively true to form.
